Boys Lacrosse: Park wins non-conference game, East Ridge wins conference game


Park 12, Northfield 10

It was a strong win for Park on Friday after the hard loss on Thursday as the Wolfpack earned the 12-10 victory over Northfield.

In the first quarter, Nolan Rinzel scored two goals, while Carson Kons and Jake Westland each scored a goal to make it a 4-1 lead for the Wolfpack. Park kept that lead in the second quarter as Brady Strenke scored two goals and Rinzel added a third goal to his day.

After a scoreless third quarter, Park kept the lead in the fourth to win 12-10 as Rinzel added a fourth goal to his night. Along with him, Westland had his second goal and Lucas Hoyt scored two goals in the fourth quarter.

Park will travel to Stillwater on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. for a conference road game.


East Ridge 9, White Bear Lake 8

The game stayed close throughout the majority of Thursday night, but East Ridge was able to prevail with a 9-8 final score over White Bear Lake.

The Raptors took the lead early with goals from Isaac Edwards and Noah Markus in the first quarter. Then, Dillon Peterson and Peter Young connected on a couple of goals as White Bear Lake scored three times in the second quarter to make it a 4-3 lead for East Ridge at halftime.

In the third quarter, the two teams split as Jack Mohler scored to make it a 5-4 lead for the Raptors. Once the fourth quarter started, White Bear Lake went on a hot streak with four straight goals to give the Bears an 8-5 lead.

Mohler and Edwards earned their second goal of the night and Tyler Johnson connected as well to make the game an 8-8 tie. With only four seconds left in the game, Zach Beaubien found an open shot on a power play and connected to give East Ridge a 9-8 lead with only a few seconds left on the clock.

Thomas Miles saved eight of the 16 shots on goal from Thursday's game.

East Ridge will use this momentum for its next game on the road at Roseville on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m.

Roseville 10, Park 2

Park hit the road on Thursday as the Wolfpack lost to Roseville 10-2 in a conference game.

No individual statistics were available.

Park will return home to play Northfield on Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m.
