One dead in Newport stabbing
A fatal stabbing in Newport early Sunday morning is under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
In an apparent domestic violence incident, a man suffered stab wounds that became fatal, according to authorities.
The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. June 3 in the 400 block of Sixth Avenue.
Sgt. Mike Benson said deputies are not currently looking for anyone else in the case.
