St. Paul Park police reports: Disorderly conduct in school
A 17-year-old Cottage Grove resident was cited for a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of Marshall Avenue Dec. 2.
A 17-year-old Apple Valley teen was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop near Hastings and Ashland avenues Nov. 29.
Sara Anna Weston, 42, of St. Paul, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Dec. 1 near Broadway Avenue and Third Street. Police responded to the area after receiving reports of a swerving car. Officers made contact with Weston, who was asleep in the vehicle. Weston was given field sobriety tests and a preliminary breathalyzer test that registered a blood alcohol content of 0.39.
Two students at Oltman Middle School, 1020 Third St., were involved in a fight in the school cafeteria Nov. 28. A 13-year-old female started arguing with a 13-year-old male about whether or not she was a "gangster disciple." The female hit the male on the shoulder, and the male was held back by another student before he could hit the female. Police are waiting to contact parents before charges are issued.
A 28-year old Cottage Grove man was arrested for assault at SuperAmerica, 545 Summit Ave., Nov. 29. The man was reportedly throwing items at another man. A bag of Xanax and other unknown pills were also found in his sock at the Washington County Jail.
A 28-year-old St. Paul Park man and a 23-year-old Cottage Grove man are suspected for shoplifting at SuperAmerica, 545 Summit Ave., after a fight there earlier Nov. 29. Police requested store surveillance video.
An 11-year-old Cottage Grove female at Oltman Middle School, 1020 Third St., was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after she became combative at the school Nov. 28. The female had an altercation with another student and had started arguing with staff members, saying she was going to leave the school on foot. St. Paul Park police and a Washington County Sheriff's deputy responded to assist school staff. The female became verbally and physically combative with them and broke an officer's finger during the altercation. The female had previously been making suicidal statements and was taken to the Minnesota's Children Hospital for psychological examination and 72-hour hold.
A 16-month-old child was put into protective custody after a parent was taken to Washington County Jail. Police saw a vehicle driving at high speeds and running stop signs on Summit Avenue. The man was booked for child endangerment, violating traffic laws and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A truck in the 1000 block of Summit Avenue was vandalized Dec. 3.
Deron Garmonsaw Giaydu, 26, of Cottage Grove, was arrested Dec. 3 for fleeing an officer, obstruction and driving after revocation. According to the report, an officer stopped Giaydu after noticing his vehicle speeding near Ashland. Giadyu was reportedly argumentative and uncooperative with the officer.
