The Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest Grande Day Parade brought out the crowds along Jamaica Avenue. All the kids had their game faces on as they waited for the inevitable fusillade of candy that was tossed from the floats.

Friday night at Kingtson Park, the band Kevin’s Cousin closed their set with a rip-roaring version of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll” that had Evelyn Wandzel 4, and sister Vivian, 2,  dancing like junior headbangers. Their dad, Mark, said his daughters get a steady diet of Led Zep at home.
