Grant program for electric landscaping equipment
Up to $300,000 in grant funding is available through the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for landscaping equipment users to switch from two-cycle gasoline to electric-powered landscaping equipment. The state offers 50 percent cost-sharing.
The maximum grant amount per recipient is $24,000. Eligible applicants include all Minnesota-based businesses with fewer than 500 employees, governmental agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, or trade groups/associations.
Washington County Department of Public Health and Environment, in its ongoing effort to improve air quality and reduce pollution, is assisting businesses in applying for the program. Eligible applicants may contact Barbara Pena at 651-430-6655 or email@example.com for information and assistance.
Applications are due to the MPCA no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.
