British film director and actor Richard Attenborough dead at 90
British actor and film maker Richard Attenborough has passed away. Among his most famous works were the 1982 Indian epic "Gandhi," which went on to win eight Oscars including best director and best film. He also played a theme park owner in the science fiction adventure "Jurassic Park". Attenborough co-starred with Steve McQueen in "The Great Escape" in 1963. He was knighted in 1976 and was made a baron in June 1993. Attenborough was 90 years old.
