Alvin "Ole" Swanson, 91 of St. Paul Park and Roseau died peacefully at his home on July 27, 2009. He was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Family service at Rose Cemetery in Roseau on Saturday, August 1.
Bonita "Bonnie" Bresnahan, age 75 of Cottage Grove, passed away July 29, 2009. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, August 3 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8694 80th Street, Cottage Grove. Visitation 3-7 p.m. Sunday with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street, Cottage Grove and one hour prior Monday at church. Burial in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Arthur Syring, Jr., 81 of Newport, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2009 at the Woodbury Health Care Center following a short illness. Graveside services 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 31 at the Newport Cemetery in Newport with the Reverend Dr. Mark Winkler officiating. Reception following from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the American Legion Post #98, 328 Broadway Avenue in St. Paul Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. The Kok Funeral Home of Cottage Grove is in charge of the arrangements.
Russell Gausman, age 78 of St. Paul Park, died on July 21, 2009, at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury. Russell Erving Gausman was born August 18, 1930, in St. Paul the son of Elmer and Aleatha (Wells) Gausman. On February 1, 1951, he was united in marriage to Jean Berdt in St. Paul.

Dolores A. Manders, age 67, of Hastings, died July 16, 2009, at the Regina Medical Center in Hastings. Dolores was born March 14, 1942, in Eau Claire, Wis. to Harold and Rosamond (Cook) Anderson. She had worked in home health care, and was now thoroughly enjoying her time at Oak Ridge Manor with her many friends and all the arts and crafts. She also loved to play cards, with her favorite game being Bridge.
April 25, 1966 ~ July 15, 2009 Darcy L. Lawson, of Cottage Grove, grew up in Billings, Mont. She attended Joliet High School in Joliet, Mont. where she graduated in 1984. On August 10, 1990, she was married to Steven Lawson in Billings. They have been married almost 19 years. Darcy was an avid gardener, loved needlepoint, reading and cooking. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Steve; mother Jackie Frickey; and sister Dessie (Duane) Jakober. Also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, many other family and friends.
