PRESCOTT -- A two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Prescott resulted in one vehicle rolling over onto the highway, sending one woman to the hospital. Prescott police responded to the crash at 1:41 p.m. Aug. 29 at U.S. Highway 10 and Canton Street.
Many area schools announced two-hour late starts Monday, April 16 after getting socked with a spring snowstorm over the weekend. Plows are still cleaning up and in some cases, snow is still falling. Schools that will see two-hour delays include (as of 6:20 a.m.):

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) branches from Pierce and St. Croix counties and Washington County (Minn.) invite the public to a summer picnic 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30 at Prospect Park (511 Wisconsin St., Hudson). NAMI is a grassroots organization which strives to improve the quality of life for people whose lives are affected by mental illness. Its purpose is to provide support, to educate and to empower individuals and families, to promote public understanding of mental illness in order to combat stigma, and to advocate at all levels of government.
The long-awaited St. Croix Crossing bridge connecting Oak Park Heights, Minn., and the town of St. Joseph, Wis., opened to traffic at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2. Editor's note: Two boys killed in a crash July 14, 2018 were the sons of Marya Christiansen, who died in 2016 when her car entered the Mississippi River near Hager City. HAGER CITY -- Pierce County Sheriff Nancy Hove said Thursday morning that 23-year-old Marya Christiansen missed a curve in the road and drove straight into the water, where she and her van were found submerged yesterday.
