CANNON FALLS -- Stone Mill Dinner Theater will present five comedies during its 2003 season. This year, the schedule includes Sunday matinee dessert performances as well as dinner-theater shows. The opening production is a comedy, "Conjugal Rights," playing from Jan. 24 through March 9.

Gerald C. Pechacek, 82, Ellsworth, died Tuesday at Ellsworth Care Center. He was born July 15, 1920, in Beldenville to Carl and Nona (Teausaw) Pechacek. He farmed for 40 years. He worked for Jacques Seeds Co., the town of Trimbelle, and Pierce County Highway Department. He retired from Armours Meat Co. Then they traveled throughout the United States. He donated many gallons of blood over the years and ushered for more than 50 years at First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth. He enjoyed fishing and reading. He served in the U.S.
Agnes Marian Sorkil, 87, Zumbrota, died Wednesday at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was born May 30, 1915, in Roscoe to Carl and Ida (Berg) Haugen. She attended Bringold County School District 82. On July 2, 1942, she married Thorvald Sorkil in Zumbrota. They farmed near Zumbrota for 50 years. He died Dec. 5, 1992. She moved to the Zumbrota Towers in 1996.
