At Fairview Red Wing: Jan. 18, 2003 Vincent Mariano was born Saturday to Candace Barker-Stella and Salvatore Stella of Red Wing.
TOPS Take Off Pounds Sensibly will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Storyhour "Night of the New Moon" evening storyhour will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday for children of all ages at Red Wing Public Library. High School students from Interact and speech team will be sharing their favorite children's books in small groups.
Missoula Children's Theater and Goodhue County 4-H clubs will join efforts to put on a musical adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, "Hansel and Gretel." County 4-H'ers will audition Monday and rehearse all week -- Monday and Tuesday at the Goodhue Lions building then Wednesday through Saturday at the Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing -- before performing the musical at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Sheldon. The Missoula adaptation takes a new approach to the story. According to Missoula spokesmen, "The mystery is solved.
Sprout-Haas Crystal Therese Sprout and Jeremiah James Haas of Fulton, Ill., were married Nov. 30, 2002, at New River Assembly of God Church, Red Wing, with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. She is the daughter of Don and Marie Sprout of Hager City. He is the son of Jim and Ann Haas of Byron, Ill. Matron of honor was Tracy Sprout of Medicine Lake, Minn., sister-in-law of the bride.
