The New Life Academy volleyball team began its conference schedule with two convincing wins this past week.
The East Ridge girls swimming and diving team topped rival Woodbury 105-81 in an intra-district showdown on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Woodbury High School pool.
The East Ridge girls tennis team bounced back from back-to-back-to-back losses with a pair of victories and a second-place finish at the Raptor/Royal tournament last week.
The East Ridge girls cross country team made it three-for-three, while the Raptors boys took strides once again at the highly competitive Lakeville North Applejack Invitational at Aronson Park on Friday, Sept. 13.
The Park girls soccer team continued its torrid start to the 2013 season, improving to 9-0 with wins over North Branch, Forest Lake and Woodbury. The Wolfpack as yet to allow a goal this season.
Kari Solheim said she’s been playing soccer since she could walk. Now, the East Ridge senior is playing her fifth year of varsity soccer and is soaking up her final high school season.

The New Life volleyball team competed in the Visitation Tournament on Friday and Saturday, taking second place while compiling a 4-1 record.
Park kicked off Suburban East Conference play against rival East Ridge at Wolfpack Stadium on Thursday, falling 2-0 to the Raptors. Then, on Saturday, Park traveled to section foe Apple Valley and was edged 2-0 by the Eagles.
The usual suspects led the way for the Park boys and girls cross country team at the Dewey Minnaert Cross Country Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 5, at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park in Hastings.
