A Red Wing police officer and a Pierce County sheriff's deputy on Wednesday examined the strip of land between Highway 63 and the Mississippi River's back-channel boat launch area in the town of Trenton Island. The world's biggest boot is paraded through the streets of Red Wing Tuesday. The leather behemoth will now be permanently displayed in the Red Wing Shoe Co.'s new factory store at 315 Main St. The boot is 16 feet high, 20 feet long and 7 feet wide.
