The Cottage Grove 'A' PeeWee boys hockey team won the District 8 tournament championship and the 'A' PeeWee East Region championship, upsetting No. 1-ranked Edina in the final, to earn a trip to the state tournament. Park 2009 graduate willed her way back from a serious knee injury her senior year of high school to become a key player for the University of Ohio woman's basketball team. Fisher has started all 27 of Ohio's 27 games this season, averaging  28.2 minutes per game, which is fourth on the team, while scoring 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Park junior Sydney Lamberty has averaged 26.5 points per game in the playoffs thus far, helping lead the Wolfpack girls basketball team to a second straight Section 3AAAA championship game.

In his first state tournament appearance, Park freshman Colin LaBrosse lost his opening match to Mound Westonka's Sam Bennyhoff, who is ranked sixth in the state, 7-5 but got another shot after Bennyhoff won by injury default over Lakeville North's seventh-ranked Collin DeGrammont.

 For the past three years, Rachel Deephouse, left, and Kasondra Tulloch have led Park to three consecutive state meets and have competed in numerous events as individuals at state. However, with the finish of the 2012-13 season, their careers with Park have come to an end.

Park junior David Giadyu earned a trip to the state wrestling tournament -- his first -- after taking second place at the Section 3AAA individual championships at Burnsville High School. Giadyu (32-8) qualified in the 145-pound weight class and became the first-ever black wrestler to reach state from Park High School.

Park senior Matt Henry reached the finals in two events - the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. Henry's best finish came in the 500, where he took eighth place.
