Park's Zach Elliot had the Wolfpack's lone individual first place finish in the team's 97-86 loss to Woodbury, turning in a 1:06 in the backstroke to take the top spot. However, Elliot also helped the 200 free relay team to finish first in that event.

Park's James Talisesky braved below-zero temperatures last week at Cottage Grove Ravine and finished 11th with a time of 19:38 at the Broken Pole Invite.

Park senior Mitch Giese had two points in the Wolfpack's 3-3 tie with Mounds View last week. Giese had a goal and an assist giving him six points this year.

Ray Betton has been hired as the first East Ridge High School football coach. For the past four years, Betton has coached at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, where he has amassed a 24-16 overall record.
