Bridgitt Looney of Cottage Grove makes the handoff to teammate Accala Sullivan in Nelson, Wisconsin during last year’s Ragnar Relay Great River. The 200-mile race, which will pass through Cottage Grove Saturday, will feature 400 teams of runners, including runners from Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park and Woodbury.

Shreya Narayan of Cottage Grove plays the flute and the veena, a stringed instrument that is related to the sitar. Now 16, she has suffered from  acute peanut and treenut allergies since she was a baby. Narayan, who also suffer from asthma,. She'll  play a benefit concert Saturday afternoon at East Ridge High School to raise money for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).
