Gymnastics: Park wraps up SEC schedule

The Park gymnastics team dropped a 140.750 to 133.925 dual meet to Suburban East Conference opponent Forest Lake at home Thursday.

Park had three gymnasts compete in the all-around, with Mandy Hafner taking fourth overall with a score of 34.825. Behind her were Taylor Sommerland scoring a 33.4 and Tori Novotny with a 31.450.

Hafner picked up Park's top scores in three events. She scored a 9.25 on the vault, a 9.025 on the bars and an 8.775 in the floor exercise. Sommerland was the top-scoring Park gymnast on the beam with a mark of 9.050.

Forest Lake's Julie Godar took first in the all-around with a score of 35.475.

Park will next compete in the Class 2A, Section 3 gymnastics section meet Friday at Eagan High School.
