East Ridge girls golf: Anderson leads Raptors in conference tourney win

The Raptors girls golf team placed first in a nine-hole Suburban East Conference tournament last week at Prestwick Golf Course.

East Ridge finished with a combined 170 in the May 6 round. Senior Taylor Anderson led the Raptors with a 40, while fellow seniors Andriel Aimua and Molly Richardson carded a 41 and a 42, respectively.

Morgan Butler shot a 47, while freshman Megan Youngstrom finished with a 48 and Jaedyn Walz had a 49 on the round.

Woodbury took third in the tournament. Park’s Anna Keys and Cretin-Derham Hall’s Celia Kuenster share the tournament’s low score at 38.

East Ridge finished fourth in a 16-team invitational May 5 in Forest Lake. The Raptors shot a 354 and were led by Aimua’s 81.

Forest Lake won the invitational with a 345.
