Park girls track & field: Wolfpack finish ninth at annual conference relays

The Park girls track and field team took ninth place out of nine teams in the annual Suburban East Conference Relay meet last Tuesday at Roseville High School.

In the meet, which is run with all relays or by adding the top four athletes’ finishes together, Park scored 27 points as a team. Mounds View won the meet with 145 points. Forest Lake (132) and White Bear Lake (130) were second and third, respectively.

Park senior Katelyn Floysand stood out at the meet for the Wolfpack. Floysand took fourth place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.59 seconds and fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.91. In addition, Park sophomore Cameron Anderson placed 14th in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 6 inches, senior McKenzie Greeder took 14th in the pole vault by going over 6 feet, 11 inches and senior Sarah LaBrosse was 14th in the long jump with a mark of 14 feet, 9.25 inches.

Weather permitting, Park was set to hold a four-team invitational on Tuesday, April 15, at Park High School after the Bulletin went to print. Next, the Wolfpack is scheduled to compete in an invitational in Hudson, Wis., on Thursday, April 17.
