Park wrestling: Wolfpack’s season ends with loss to Eagan

The Park wrestling team’s season came to an end in the Section 3AAA tournament on Friday.

Park, the No. 5 seed, lost 44-24 to No. 4-seeded Eagan in the opening round of sections.

No. 1-ranked Apple Valley beat Eagan 62-3 in the semifinals and went on to win the championship 60-9 over Rosemount.

The individual Section 3AAA tournament takes place this Friday and Saturday at Eagan.

The Wolfpack has four wrestlers ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight class within Class AAA.

Senior Cody Linssen is ranked No. 3 at 220 pounds and looks to return to state, where he was sixth as a sophomore, after being injured last year.

Also, sophomore Collin LaBrosse is ranked fifth at 120 pounds, senior Giadyu is ranked sixth at 138 pounds and junior Cory Flaata is ranked 10th at 170 pounds. LaBrosse and Giadyu were state entrants a year ago.lar-season finale.
