Sports Announcements: Park girls basketball alumni game, Wolfpack dance team fundraiser, and more

Wolfpack dance team fundraiser

The Park Wolfpack dance team will be having a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s in Cottage Grove on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 8-10 a.m. Each breakfast consists of three pancakes, scrambled eggs, two pieces of bacon or sausage, coffee, juice and tower beverages. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for kids and seniors.

Park girls basketball alumni game Jan. 3

The Park girls basketball team will be holding its annual Alumni Night on Friday, Jan. 3 when the Wolfpack host Cretin-Derham Hall. Tip-off is set for 7:15 p.m. Cheer on the team and stay for a meet and greet with the players and coaches following the game in the cafeteria.

Park Ski and Snowboard Club

Hit the slopes after school and have fun with your friends at Afton Alps. The Park High School Ski and Snowboard Club will make five trips to Afton on Thursday nights in January and February. Whether you’re already an expert or just want to try a new sport, pick up a registration form in the activities office and sign up today. Space is limited.

East Ridge Downhill Ski and Snowboarding Club

Grab your skis or snowboards and get ready for some outdoor fun at Afton Alps. All students, from grades 9 - 12, are welcome to join the East Ridge High School Downhill Ski and Snowboarding Club. The club is open to advanced, intermediate or beginner skiers, or snowboarders. There are five evening trips scheduled starting Jan. 9. Space is limited. Registration forms can be found on the table near the Greeter’s Desk or on the Community Ed. web site. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, Jan. 6 at 3:15 p.m. in the Media Center South. Sport shack holiday sale

Due to the temporary closing of the Sport Shack, located at Bielenberg Sports Center, the Woodbury Sports Foundation will hold their Holiday Sale at the Woodbury Athletic Association Building, 2630 Ojibway, on Saturday, Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the warehouse. This is your chance to purchase quality East Ridge and Woodbury high school apparel. They will be selling sweatshirts, fleece, sweatpants, mittens, t-shirts, hockey hoods, 1/4 zips and much more. They also carry youth sizes. Spirit wear make great gifts for grandparents too.

Hamline University baseball camp starts Jan. 11

Hamline University is hosting a six week baseball camp starting Jan. 11. Hamline head coach Jim Weyandt will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. Classes are available for players in grades 1-12 and are limited to six players per coach. Sessions are offered in advanced hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baserunning.
