The Park boys soccer team took care of business last week, beating a pair of Suburban East Conference opponents to end an eight-game winless streak.

Park (4-8-2; 2-3-2 SEC) took down Cretin-Derham Hall 2-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Wolfpack Stadium before crushing Hastings 5-0 on the road Thursday. Park finished the week with a 3-0 loss at Duluth East Saturday.

Park got goals from senior Zach Olson and junior Jake Lanik in the win over Cretin-Derham Hall (5-7-1; 2-5 SEC). Senior midfielder Arik Kruzeski tallied an assist and senior goalie Nick Perry made seven saves in the net.

In the win over Hastings (2-11; 0-7 SEC) junior Noah Ijomah and sophomore Peyton Boich each netted two goals and junior Ethan Berube had one goal. Senior Matt Goecke, Kruzeski and sophomore Brady Abrahamson each had assists. Perry made four saves in goal for the shutout.

The two conference wins moved the Wolfpack up to sixth in the league standings.

Park hosted Roseville in the final home game of the regular season on Tuesday after the Bulletin went to print.

Park is at Stillwater on Thursday.
