East Ridge girls basketball: Raptors beat Como Park and Irondale, remain undefeated

The East Ridge girls basketball team remained undefeated after two big wins last week.

On Tuesday, the Raptors beat St. Paul Como Park 48-34. The Raptors held their opponent to just 14 second-half points. Leading the way for East Ridge was junior forward Jamie Swanson, who finished with 14 points. Senior guard Hannah Pignato added 13.

The leading scorer for St. Paul Como Park (4-1) was freshman guard Andrayah Adams, who finished with nine points.

Another double-digit win was in store for the Raptors (5-0) on Thursday, as they took down Irondale (0-4) on the road 64-43.

Swanson led all scorers with 22 points, while Pignato added 10. In all, nine Raptors scored two or more points. Senior guard Stephanie Meyer led Irondale with 13 points, while senior forward Brooke Degelau added 12.

On Tuesday, East Ridge opened Suburban East Conference play against Stillwater (2-2). Next, the Raptors travel to Cottage Grove to face rival Park (3-1) on Friday. The only other undefeated team in the SEC is Forest Lake, which also sits at 5-0.
