Park boys soccer: Drive a Dodge for the Wolfpack

For a second straight year, the Park boys soccer boosters will host the Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser at Park High School. The fundraiser takes place while the Park varsity and junior varsity teams take on perennial Wisconsin power, Eau Claire Memorial, starting at noon on Sept. 14.

Last year, Dodge donated $3,740 after 187 people participated in test-driving their vehicles. Again this year, Dodge will make a $20 donation to the Park boys soccer program for each person who takes a short test drive at the event. Hastings Chrysler will have the new Dodge Dart, Durango, Journey, and Grand Caravan at the event for participants to inspect and drive. Dealership personnel will volunteer their time to assist with the fundraising drives. Anyone age 18 or over, with a valid driver's license, may drive and earn a donation. Driving times are from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

"The Dodge event was a huge success for us last year," said Dan Ordner, event coordinator. "It is a no-pressure, no sales event and one of the easiest ways to support Park boys soccer."

Since 1993, Dodge has helped raise an estimated $4.5 million for local schools with test-drive programs like the Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser.

"The whole community is invited," Ordner said. "Look for the colorful Dodge tent, take a short test drive, and help the boys soccer team."
