SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. - Prescott High School's boys basketball team made it look easy in winning the South St. Paul tournament. The Cardinals downed Park 73-50 in the finals Wednesday afternoon.

The Cardinals won the night before 85-59 over the host Packers.

Good shooting was the reason for the Cardinals success. Despite being outsized by Park, Prescott was able to get up and down the floor for transition baskets led by point guard Billy Brookshaw and forward Mike Lytle. Lytle had 30 points against the Wolfpack and Brookshaw finished with 24. Both players made the all-tournament team.

Brookshaw scored 29 and Lytle had 22 points in Prescott's win Tuesday.

Park trailed 45-25 at halftime despite four three-pointers from Robert Briggs. He didn't score in the second half but teammate Sully Brenke did, finishing with a team-high 15 points. Park center Tim Vorwerk finished with 10 points.

Prescott improves to 7-1 on the season while Park is 3-6.
