Girls finish fourth at Wednesdays True Team; boys third

The Park girls track and field team finished in fourth place in the Section 2AAA True Team meet, totaling 483.5 points. Eagan (758.0 points) was the True Team Section Champion followed by Woodbury (685.0 points), Henry Sibley (486.5 points) and Park.

Boys track third at true team Tuesday

The Park boys track and field team is in third place with one event remaining in the Section 2AAA True Team meet. Because of rain, the pole vault was rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, prior to the girls Section 2AAA True Team meet. Park has 586.0 points and is behind second place Eagan (782.0 points) and first place Woodbury (825.0 points).

The Park boys track and field team is in third place with one event remaining in the Section 2AAA True Team meet. Because of rain, the pole vault was rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, prior to the girls Section 2AAA True Team meet. Win No. 500 will have to wait

Park head softball coach Charlie Whitbred said his team always has Woodbury circled on the schedule. But, this one was circled a few extra times. On Monday, Whitbred went for career win No. 500 and the Wolfpack tried to make it 10 wins in a row as No. 2 ranked Park took on Suburban East Conference rival Woodbury, the only team to defeat them this season.

It was hat, mitten, scarf and poncho weather on Friday night, but the Wolfpack girls lacrosse team braved the elements and came away with its second win of the week, a 7-3 defeat of Cretin-Derham Hall.

Park head softball coach Charlie Whitbred’s 499th career win came at the expense of Roseville as the Wolfpack defeated the Raiders 3-0 Thursday night at Central Park in Roseville.

Park of Cottage Grove two-time All-State football player Tom Busch has been invited to try out for the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted, unsigned free-agent and will compete in the Vikings’ rookie mini-camp this Thursday, April 24, through Sunday.
