Letter: Boosters, city separate efforts

I am writing on behalf of the Park Girls hockey boosters and in response to the Aug. 13 story, “Boosters thousands of dollars short on locker rooms for Park hockey teams.”

I just find it amazing that the amount of money that the Cottage Grove Hockey Association has already given the Park hockey boosters went unmentioned in the Aug. 13 article “Boosters thousands of dollars short on locker rooms for Park hockey teams.”

The Park High School Boys Hockey Team and Boys Hockey Booster Club would like to thank the Cottage Grove VFW and the Cottage Grove Perkins along with all of the patrons at each of these facilities that supported us during our recent fundraising events.

As election season draws near, I am encouraged by the number of people showing their support for the various candidates in the different races. It is nice to see people being active.
