Mouchka sentenced for assaulting child
STILLWATER — A Woodbury man has been sentenced for 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child younger than 13.
A Washington County court convicted Raymond Victor Mouchka, 73, of second-degree criminal sexual conduct March 9.
According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a report of a suicidal teenage girl who was harming herself Christmas Day 2016.
The girl's parents told police the child had been depressed recently.
She told her parents Mouchka had assaulted her on numerous occasions.
Her mother called Mouchka, who admitted to abusing the child.
Two days later, the mother reported the assaults to the police.
Mouchka checked himself into a hospital Dec. 28, 2016 for suicidal thoughts.
He admitted to touching the girl when she was 9 years old and said he stopped when she told him it was not right and needed to stop.
The victim detailed an incident at a Woodbury park when she was 9.
Mouchka made up a games requiring the girl two cross the monkey bars and climb up equipment. If she didn't complete each task within a certain amount of time, he would rape her.
The girl told police this happened more than once.
Mouchka admitted Jan. 19, 2017 to touching the girl as many as 200 times when she was 8 and 9 years old.
