Raptors dancers take part in Just for Kix summer camp
The East Ridge High School dance team participated in the Just for Kix summer dance camp recently. The camp provided the East Ridge dancers with instruction, technical training, choreography and a few days to bond as a team.
"The summer camp is a great opportunity for our returning and new dancers to enhance their skills, but more importantly the three-day camp is about the girls becoming a team," East Ridge dance team head coach Jenn Reillo said. "It also allows the coaches and seniors to demonstrate to their new teammates what it means to be united, strong, bold and a Raptor Dancer."
While the team's first performance is weeks away, the dancers will continue team building, practicing and learning new techniques during the eight summer workshop days. The East Ridge dance team's talents will be on display at various school events and at competitive tournaments this fall and winter.
The East Ridge dance team's goal is to promote school spirit and involvement, teamwork, dedication, strong work ethic, a competitive drive and respect.
