Book Awards presented at Park

COTTAGE GROVE — Twelve Park High School received Junior Book Awards April 26 in recognition of their academic accomplishments, dedication to learning, leadership, school involvement, strong character and commitment to the community.

For the third year at Park through book awards, students received a book from a specific college or university. The books awarded are generally penned by a professor or alum at the institution that awards it.

Those awarded can also receive scholarships from the school that awarded them the book if they decide to attend it.

Park High School students who received the Junior Book Awards this year and the colleges that awarded the books are: Morgan Rice from Columbia University, Nicole Riepe from Dartmouth College, Mallory Hoffman from Harvard University, Yordanos Degefe from Johns Hopkins University, AJ Graff from St. Lawrence University, Kevin Phan and Nayeli Pallais-Yllescas from St. Michael's College, Brady Rudh from University of Minnesota, Benny Pierre from University of Notre Dame, Genny Tester from University of Tennessee, Grace Farone from Wellesley College and Samantha Duran from Yale University.
