Cottage Grove police reports: Home, vehicle egged; Loose pig

Property damage

An unknown person threw a rock through a window in the 7700 block of Hinton Avenue Nov. 15. Loss: $150.


A 16-year-old male was cited for trespassing at the Park Grove Library, 7900 Hemingway Ave., Nov. 15. He had previously been told he was not allowed there.


A package was stolen from a home in the 7100 block of 71st Street Nov. 17. There are no suspects. Loss: $39.

A GPS was stolen from an unlocked car in the 8800 block of 80th Street Nov. 19. Loss: $80.

A wallet with credit cards was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 7700 block of Hinton Avenue Nov. 20. A credit card was later used in Eagan.

A male stole three shirts valued at $75 from Kohl's, 7990 Hardwood Ave., Nov. 20. Police have a possible suspect.


A 19-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia Nov. 17 at Arby's, 7185 East Point Douglas Road.

Mark Allen Frankfurth, 39, of Inver Grove Heights, was arrested during a traffic stop at Highway 61 and Jamaica Avenue Nov. 19 for a traffic violation and fifth degree possession of a controlled substance. Frankfurth was in possession of Oxycodone and Clonazepam that he did not have a prescription for. A 31-year-old St. Paul Park woman who was also in the car was cited for a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Domestic assault

Bennie Adonnis Jackson , 31, was arrested for gross misdemeanor domestic assault Nov. 18 in the 7000 block of Homestead Avenue. Jackson reportedly strangled a Cottage Grove woman, who was found with red marks around her neck. The woman did not need transport.


A vehicle was egged at Park High School, 8040 80th St., Nov. 18.

A home was egged in the 8000 block of Johansen Avenue Nov. 18.

Graffiti was found on the east side of Cottage Grove Middle School, 9775 Indian Blvd., Nov. 20. Minimum damage was reported.

Loose pig

Police responded reports of a loose pig in the 7200 block of Hidden Valley Trail Nov. 19. Police did make contact with the pig, which belongs to a resident in the area.
