Johnathan Marshall Niesen, 28, of Cottage Grove, was arrested Oct. 18 on suspicion of second-degree drunken driving, failure to stop at an accident and possession of drug paraphernalia. Niesen struck a barrier around 2:30 a.m. at Holiday gas station, 6921 Pine Arbor Drive. He was located in the 7400 block of Jeffery Lane.

Police received a report Oct. 14 that tools valued at approximately $2,500 to $4,000 were stolen from a work trailer parked in the 11000 block of 70th Street. There are no suspects.

A Cottage Grove man called police Oct. 15 to report that his "large-sized Chewbacca action figure" from Star Wars was stolen from his apartment in the 7700 block of Hearthside Avenue. The action figure, in its original box, was valued at $500 to $1,000.
Police received a report Oct. 17 that a cellphone valued at $700 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 6900 block of Skylark Court.

James Phillip Hicks, 44, of St. Paul Park, was arrested Oct. 11 on suspicion of felony violation of a domestic abuse no-contact order while at Wal-Mart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road. Hicks was booked at the Washington County jail.
Andrew Scott Twaddle, 40, of Cottage Grove, was arrested Oct. 13 on suspicion of gross-misdemeanor domestic assault for allegedly punching his father in the jaw, knocking him down, during an altercation in the 8700 block of Ironwood Avenue. Twaddle was booked at the Washington County jail.
Three Cottage Grove youths — two 12-year-old boys and an 11-year-old girl — were referred to the Youth Service Bureau for disorderly conduct Oct. 17 at a bus stop in the 8500 block of Hillside Trail.
