Cottage Grove police reports for Feb. 16: Drugs, theft, disorderly conduct

Disorderly conduct

A 30-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for disorderly conduct Jan. 21, after he was being disorderly, getting upset and swearing at staff of Holiday gas station, 6921 Pine Arbor Drive.

Drugs

An 18-year-old Lakeland woman was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle about 8:40 p.m., Jan. 22, in the 8500 block of Jody Circle.

Theft

61 Marine and Sports, 11730 Point Douglas Road, reported Jan. 21, that an all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a fenced area. No value was listed.

Police investigated a possible break-in reported Jan. 24, at a home in the 6700 block of Pine Crest Trail. A man reported that $250, bank cards and one women's boot was stolen from inside the home. One resident reported hearing footsteps in the middle of the night but thought it was the other resident, according to the report. There was no sign of damage to the front door.

A Cottage Grove man reported Jan. 27, that a package ($35) was stolen from outside a home in the 8300 block of 115th Street.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Jan. 27, that a bike ($600) was stolen from a garage in the 9300 block of Jergen Avenue sometime last summer.

A Canby, Minn., man reported Jan. 28, that a computer ($200) was stolen from his vehicle parked at Wal-Mart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road.

A Cottage Grove man reported Jan. 30, that $1,475 worth of tools were stolen from a truck parked at 8120 East Point Douglas Road. The man thought the truck was locked, but there was no sign of forced entry.

A 33-year-old St. Paul woman was cited for shoplifting Jan. 31, at Wal-Mart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road.

Police were pursuing criminal charges against one individual, who has not been arrested, in connection with a reported theft Feb. 1, of $2,250 worth of merchandise from Target, 8655 East Point Douglas Road. Police were notified after three suspects left the store. Eight Apple watches and a cellphone were stolen.

An 18-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for theft Feb. 3, at Wal-Mart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road.

G-Will Liquors, 6999 80th St., reported Feb. 4, that a male suspect stole four 50-mL bottles of Fireball whisky ($5 total). He was gone before police arrived.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Feb. 6, that a jacket ($20) was stolen from a vehicle in the 6100 block of Summit Curve.

A Cottage Grove woman reported Feb. 8, that checks were stolen from her mailbox in the 7000 block of Goodview Avenue. The check thefts could not be confirmed.

A Cottage Grove resident reported Feb. 9, that a package ($16) was stolen after it was delivered to a home in the 6700 block of Meadowgrass Lane.

A male student at Park High School reported Feb. 9, that an iPhone was stolen from his locker in the gym area.

Fraud

A Minneapolis woman reported Jan. 27, she believed her credit card was stolen while she was at a party on Hearthside Avenue. The card had been used at a Western Union location in Cottage Grove.
