Cottage Grove police brief: ‘Ghillie suit’ draws concern in Walmart store

A person wearing a full-body camouflage “ghillie suit” unsettled Walmart customers recently before dashing from the store when approached by employees.

Police were called to the store about 3 p.m. Aug. 15, after store employees tried to confront someone who was wearing the leafy camouflage outfit.

The person left the store and could not be located, according to the report.

Two days later, police were called to Walmart again after the store reported that a young male suspect wearing camouflage clothing was yelling at customers in the parking lot. The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 17. The suspect ran behind the store and was not found.
