Cottage Grove police reports for July 9: Burglary, domestic assault, disorderly conduct, property damage

Recent criminal activity reported in Cottage Grove:

Property damage

Armstrong Elementary School, 8855 Inwood Ave., reported June 14 that a section of playground equipment was damaged.

Armstrong Elementary School, 8855 Inwood Ave., reported June 24 that a window was broken. Damage: $1,000.

A Cottage Grove resident reported June 24 that two solar lights were removed from the ground and thrown against the home in the 7200 block of Imperial Avenue. Loss: $45.

Police received a report June 27 that someone put dirt inside the gas tank of construction equipment at West Draw Park, 7050 Meadow Grass Lane. Damage: $500.

Armstrong Elementary School, 8855 Inwood Ave., reported June 28 that a glass lens from a security light and a concrete rain deflector were damaged. Damage: $200.

Hillside Elementary School, 8177 Hillside Trail, reported June 30 that a window was broken on the building. No damage estimate was listed.

A police officer on patrol early July 2 found that a steel bar was pried from a door to the former Rush nightclub building in the 7300 block of West Point Douglas Road. No entry had been made to the building.

Disorderly conduct

A 33-year-old Cottage Grove woman and a 38-year-old Cottage Grove man were each cited for disorderly conduct following a June 28 disturbance in the 7000 block of 90th Street. They were arguing.

Domestic assault

Scott C. Meissner, 36, of Cottage Grove, was arrested June 15 for allegedly throwing a TV remote at his 77-year-old grandmother and threatened her. He was booked into Washington County jail on suspicion of felony domestic assault, due to previous criminal convictions.

Adrien M. Willette, 32, was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault after she allegedly pushed her mother over a chair during a June 23 altercation at their home in the 7900 block of Hillside Trail. Willette was booked into the Washington County jail.

Vehicle tampering

A Cottage Grove resident reported June 16 that someone tampered with a vehicle in the 7700 block of Ivystone Avenue.


A Cottage Grove resident reported June 20 that vehicles in the driveway and garage had been entered and a trimmer was stolen from the garage in the 8400 block of Jergen Avenue.

A Cottage Grove resident reported June 25 that someone had kicked in the front door to the home in the 7500 block of Irvin Avenue and stole items from inside.
