St. Paul Park police reports for Sept. 19: Drugs, theft, assault, domestic


A St. Paul Park man called police Aug. 13 to report that an all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a trailer in his driveway in the 1100 block of Second Street. The ATV and two bicycles were later recovered.

A St. Paul Park woman reported Aug. 24 that someone entered her unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Broadway Avenue and stole a number of items, including a wallet, cash, credit cards and an iPod.


A 17-year-old St. Paul Park male was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia after police were called to a possible fight around 6:15 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 9900 block of Grey Cloud Island Trail. There was no fight, but police detained the teen and allegedly recovered a pipe used for drugs.

Suspicious activity

A St. Paul Park woman called police Aug. 31 to report that two people in a vehicle stopped in the 1700 block of Selby Avenue overnight and checked doors of vehicles parked in driveways. Police told the woman to call them while a suspicious situation is occurring. No arrests were made.

Juvenile mischief

A St. Paul Park Public Works employee called police Aug. 27 to report that he saw two suspicious juvenile males at Axelrod Park. One, who the report said "resembled Harry Potter," was lighting plastic on fire at the park. The other juvenile was messing with a pocketknife and a piece of wood at the park. The youths fled. There was no permanent damage at the park.


A 36-year-old St. Paul park woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, a St. Paul Park man, during a fight Aug. 26 at a home in the 1200 block of Third Street.


A St. Paul Park woman called police Aug. 25 to report that her son was making comments about shooting himself. The woman said her son became upset because he drank all of the beer and nobody would get him more. He became so belligerent that the woman called police, according to the report. The man left the home but his father located him.

Police were called Aug. 22 to a home in the 300 block of Pullman Avenue for a domestic situation. Police determined that a man and woman had been involved in a "mutual tussle," according to the report. The 25-year-old man was cited for obstruction of justice.

Picketing complaint

SuperAmerica gas station, 545 Summit Ave., reported Aug. 24 that picketers involved in a SuperMom's labor dispute were at the gas station and had refused to leave. When police arrived, the picketers were on the public street. They were cooperative and reminded to obey all laws while protesting their cause. That same day, police responded to a report of a disgruntled employee at SuperMom's, 625 Second Ave. A man was upset over a decision to terminate him. Police listened to him and he thanked them and calmly left.

Property damage

Apple Property Services, 1100 Sixth St., reported Aug. 20 that someone threw rocks through a fence and damaged a company truck.
