Police seek suspect in St. Paul Park gas station robbery

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect in a St. Paul Park gas station robbery.

A man entered the SuperAmerica store at 545 Summit Ave. early Tuesday with a bandana over his face and his hands in his pockets, grabbed money and ran from the store south toward Broadway Avenue, according to police. The store clerk said the suspect did not show a weapon or indicate that he was armed.

The incident was reported at 2:50 a.m.

The man was captured on a store security camera. The police report described the suspect as a black male about 6 feet tall and 190 to 200 pounds. He was wearing dark clothes with a hooded sweatshirt and a black thin bandana with white dots.

Police did not disclose how much money was taken from the store.

The police report does not say whether anyone was injured or whether there were other customers in the store during the robbery.

St. Paul Park Police Chief Mike Monahan said the case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police investigator Kyle Lindquist at 651-459-9785.
