Hearing Sept. 8 on comprehensive plan

A public hearing on the St. Paul Park 2008-30 Comprehensive Plan Update is scheduled at 7 p.m. during the regular meeting of the city Planning Commission Monday, Sept. 8. Residents who want to comment are invited to attend the meeting.

Members of the Cottage Grove Hockey Association board, Park High booster clubs, Ice Arena Project Team and city officials were given a tour of the $6.8 million addition to the city’s ice arena last week, a project arena manager Zac Dockter says is, “for now,” on schedule for an Oct. 1 opening.

Police use DNA evidence to tie man to crime spree

A man who evaded both a helicopter and a K-9 unit last August is now allegedly tied to a string of thefts in Cottage Grove by DNA evidence, police say.
