ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, in the City Hall at 12800 Ravine Parkway South, until 10 A.M., CDT, Thursday, April 13, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following:
Belden Sanitary Lift Station Improvements
In general, the Work consists of the following approximate quantities:
1 LS Concrete Wet Well Manhole Structure
120 CY Rock Excavation
115 LF 12” DIP Cl. 52 Watermain w/Polywrap
1 EA 12” Watermain Line Stopping Valve
1 EA 12” Watermain Butterfly Valve
2 EA Connect to Existing watermain
1 EA Connect to Existing Sanitary Manhole
50 LF Remove and Reinstall Chainlink Fence
1 LS Temporary Conveyance of Sanitary Sewage
1 LS Dewatering
Along with temporary erosion control, turf establishment, and related appurtenances.

The successful bidder must be a “responsible contractor.” The term “responsible contractor” means a contractor as defined in Minnesota Statutes Section 16C.285, subdivision 3.

Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the 3 lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
