The Park girls swimming and diving team hit the pool for the first time this year with the annual Suburban East Conference relays, held Thursday, Aug. 26, at Stillwater Junior High and Cottage Grove Middle schools.

With only four swimmers in the meet, the first-year East Ridge boys swimming and diving team finished in seventh place out of 36 teams at the Class A state swimming and diving championships, pulling off six All-State performances.

With its finish at the Section 1A meet, the East Ridge boys swimming and diving team is sending four swimmers to the 2010 Class A state meet in eight events after earning state-qualifying finishes in two relays and six individual races.
