• Park junior Dan Vomastek gave Park a 2-0 lead on a goal with 5:38 remaining in the first quarter.
• Park junior Kirby Quebodeaux had two goals against the Royals in the opening round of the section playoffs.
• Park junior goalie Jeremy Harer made 26 saves against Woodbury, including one on a breakaway by Royals' leading scorer Max Gaede.
• Park senior Matt Schabacker took an early 2-0 lead over the Royals.
• Up 4-3 Woodbury senior Tyler Nowicki celebrated as if the puck went in the net, but play continued until, a few seconds later, the referees blew the whistle and signaled a goal — leaving Park fans and players asking a collective, “What?” and giving Woodbury a 5-3 lead with just over six minutes remaining in the game.
• Park was left to question the officials as Woodbury senior Max Gaede and the Royals celebrated a controversial, but never-the-less back-breaking, goal.
• Park head coach Jay Moser continued to question the referee on the ice after the game.

“Sometimes I think officials have a tendency to make snap judgments on the ice and when they do that, they have to stick with their call — we all know how that works,” Moser said. “I just wanted to talk to him and get a feel on how confident he was with the call. But, they almost always stick to their guns — right or wrong.”
• Park was left to wonder, "What if?" as its rival Woodbury celebrated the playoff win.
