Thomas Eng, 70

Thomas John "Tom" Eng, age 70, of Grand Rapids, Minn., formerly of St. Paul, Minn., has died unexpectedly.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday with a 1 p.m. funeral service at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Dear friends and family of Thomas, My name is Jessica and I am a volunteer in your area. I did not know Thomas personally, but I am writing to share a brief comforting thought. Death brings us all much grief and sorrow. In turn God's word the Bible can bring us much comfort and hope. In 1 Corinthians 15:20-22 we read of a wonderful hope of a resurrection, "However, now Christ has been raised up from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death]. For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a man. For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive." Soon as stated in this verse our dead loved ones will be resurrected in accordance with Jesus ransom sacrifice that he gave once for all time. Those resurrected will live in peace on a beautiful paradise earth as stated in Psalms 37:29. If you would like more information please go to www.jw.org
