Dear friends and family of Alma, My name is Jessica and I am a volunteer in your area. I did not know Alma personally, but I am writing to share a brief comforting thought. No matter at what age a person dies, the lose of a loved one is never easy. It is comforting to know that God's word the Bible holds out a beautiful promise for the future. In Isaiah 25:8 we read, "He [God] will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it]." Soon God will "swallow up death" and put an end to all of the suffering and sorrow that has resulted from death. Gods original purpose was for humans to live eternally in a peaceful paradise earth. That is still God's purpose and soon that will be fulfilled when God brings about a resurrection of the dead as stated in John 5:28, 29 and Psalms 37:29.
