Gordon Patterson of Cottage Grove died March 3.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St., Cottage Grove, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at church. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Discovery Church, 828 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park. Inurnment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Dear friends and family of Gordon, My name is Jessica and I am a volunteer in your area. Although I do not know Gordon or your family personally, I would like to share some comforting thought with your family in this time of lose. The Bible holds out a beautiful promise for the future in regards to death. In the scriptures death is clearly defined, both the condition of the dead and the reason we die are discussed. As stated in 1 Corinthians 15:54, "Death will [soon] be swallowed up forever." Take hope in the fact that soon there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous as we read in John 5:28-29.
