Cindy Stephens-Bestler, age 57, died peacefully on Feb. 28 after a long battle with cancer.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Kandt & Tetrick Funeral Home, 140 8th Ave. N., South St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour before service.

Dear friends and family of Cindy, My name is Jessica and I am a volunteer in the area. Although I did not know Cindy or your family personally, I would like to share a comforting though from the Bible. In I Corinthians 15:20 we read, "However, now Christ has been raised up from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep in death. For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a man." Those dead loved ones who have fallen asleep in death are in God's memory and there will soon be a resurrection from the dead. Those who are resurrected will be joined to a beautiful paradise earth. We read in Psalms 37:29, "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
