Elmer married Do in 1950. They raised nine children to be kind, hardworking, and to value family. He believed in the power of prayer. He would always help others and taught his children to do the same.
He was preceded in death by wife, DoLores; three brothers and a sister.
Loving father of Mary Ann (David) Holmquist, Bob, Carol, Helen (Jim) Conley, Don (Thelma), Joyce (Gregg) Brooks, Joan (Randy) Dague, Joe (Cathy), Fr. Dennis; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Clarence and Leon.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, and 9-10 a.m. Monday at church. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley, St. Paul Park. Interment church cemetery.
