John A. Rivers, age 80, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19.
John A. Rivers, age 80, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19.
Preceded in death by parents, and sister Virginia.
Survived by wife, Dora; three daughters, Roxanne (John) Muller, Dawne Wiegel, and Christine; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim), Marcus (Krista), Rachel, Joseph, and Karissa (Nick); two great-grandchildren, Allison and Wyatt; brother, Lloyd (Billie); sister Lois Erwin; and other extended family and friends.
He was a firefighter for MAC for over 30 years and retired as a captain.
Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove. Visitation will be 1/2 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
