Scott Weisskirk, April 26, 1951 - Aug. 5, 2012, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Cottage Grove, Minn.

Loving husband to Claudia; also survived by sons, Cory (Amanda), Brian; grandsons, Hunter and Zach; stepchildren, Patrick (Stacy), Meghan, Sean, Michael Jeffrey, step-grandchildren, Molly, Kieran; brother Gregg (Peggy), Lauren, Maggie; sister Lynne; Jesse and other family members.

Scott was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Frances; son David Richard.

Scott loved stories of history and politics and a good cribbage or chess game. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the natural beauty of our states. He was a quiet, gentle man who was ever observant of the life around him.

Gathering of friends 10-11 a.m. with memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Cottage Grove United Church of Christ, 7008 Lamar Ave., Cottage Grove. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
