Claudette Jones (nee Westmiller) passed away in the loving comfort of her family on Sunday morning, Nov. 27, at White Pines.

Claudette Jones (nee Westmiller) passed away in the loving comfort of her family on Sunday morning, Nov. 27, at White Pines.

Claudette was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Washburn, N.D., the daughter of Walter and Olga (Sundby) Westmiller. She was raised in North Dakota. On June 22, 1953, she was united in marriage with Edward Jones at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa.

Claudette loved to spend time with her friends and family. She will be remembered as a great organizer who loved her dog.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents, Walt and Olga Westmiller; brother, Paul; and sister Lisa.

She is the beloved mom of Lynn Deiman, Kyle (Ann), Wendy (Gary) Simone, Bryan (Diane), Kristy Seerup; also survived by 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Sallie (Jack) Northrop; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at church. Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Newport Lutheran Church, 900 15th St., Newport. Interment Newport Cemetery. Memorials to Animal Humane Society in Woodbury. Special thanks to the staff of White Pines and St. Jude Hospice.
