Humberto Chavez, 72

Humberto Chavez, age 72, of St. Paul Park, Minn., died Nov. 4 after a 3-1/2-year battle with cancer, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Humberto Chavez, age 72, of St. Paul Park, Minn., died Nov. 4 after a 3-1/2-year battle with cancer, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service was held Nov. 8 at the Kok Funeral Home, St. Paul Park.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gregoria; nine children and one step-daughter; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Olga Chavez and Mary Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.

He was an MTC Bus Driver for 23 years, a job which he loved, and would always say that he "made many friends through the years and loved working with the public, therefore my life was a happy life, never a dull moment."
