Dorothy Palmquist, 80, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died peacefully at home Sunday, May 22, 2011.

Dorothy Palmquist, 80, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died peacefully at home Sunday, May 22, 2011.

She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Barron, Wis., to Martin and Inez Gleiter Dragseth. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was a homemaker. Dorothy was also a member of NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees).

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Merton Dragseth; and infant daughter, Barbara Palmquist.

Dorothy was a devoted wife and loving mother. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank Palmquist of Hot Springs Village; and son, Al Palmquist of Cottage Grove, Minn.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, at First Lutheran Church in Barron with Pastor Bruce Beyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 103 Ponferrada Way, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909.
